King of Cats -Left of Center

Greeting,
This is my DT entry for this week's Left of Center challenge which is fairy tales. As soon as I saw this wonderful image from Day for daisies I was in love he is called black cat but for me is the King of cats!I got so into this theme of fairy tales that I started researching the old fairy of the kings of cats.
The background is stamped with fleur de lis and tiny old writing. As I have a cat that rules my house, I felt the sentiment to be true!

I went to the Craft, art and cake show at the NEC yesterday. It was amazing! I have been to one in March several times but this was was HUGE. The cakes were amazing many had a Halloween theme.

Halloween LOC

Greeting,

Here is my latest DT entry for Left Of Center the theme is Halloween for all of this month. I loved this retro design from bugaboo stamps. This is Sihouette happy Halloween cat

and here is what inspired the whole thing...

I printed this on acetate, dropped alcohol ink then backed with an old dictionary page so that the light shines through.

I also made the below card with the same formula bust used cob web dye cut and white card for the backing. I am entering this to Less is more challenge which is use acetate.
I kind of liked the writing backwards so I left it like that, bet most people won't spot it!

Happy Halloween

Vegan Zombie

Greetings,

I have excellent news; I am honored to say that I'm on the Design team for Left Of Center creative challenges. I have long been a entrant in their quirky challenges and was completely made up when I was accepted on their DT. So here is my first DT piece for their month theme of Halloween.

The image is from the most excellent and auspicious Rick St Dennis, it is called "Zombie let's have brains." I colored the image with prisma pencils which are my new craft lust objects. The fonts are "about dead" and "Bleeding Cowboy", which both seemed aptly named. I love this joke, also I think that vegan Zombies have been really under represented in the horror genre and it's time for that to change!

little one

Greetings,

I loved making this card, I gesso'd the surface and then created a great deal of mess playing with geltos. I have always wanted some but was put off by the price tag so when I saw some for £4.00 in hobbycraft two different color packs went straight in the basket. I then stamped it and mounted it.

I am entering it into the following challenges:
Less is more -peacock feathers colors
All sorts challenge - new beginnings

and here is a piece of altered wood that I made into a home sign.
