Down on the beach

Dearest Minions,

This is my entry to this week's Tuesday Taggers challenge Down on the beach sponsored by one stop craft store. My entry is wistful thinking, the image is Black Pearl from Delicious doodles. I started with the tag but she looked far too exotic and warm to be in the North Sea. So I made a grey North Sea sister for her, who could well be found near a Suffolk beach.

The images are coloured with flexi markers and copics markers. However I still found the colours too bright for grey pearl so I sponged weathered wood distress ink over the image, which worked well and married into the background of the card which is made with a Tim Holtz mask, distress inks and a my mind's eye script stamp. The eyes have been highlighted by glaze to make them stand out and look liquidy.

look forward to your entry.
