Promenade in the haunted trees

Dearest Minions

This is my entry to the Macabre Monday Garden of Good and Evil is is called "Promenade in the Haunted trees." The background is an old book page gessoed and then stamped with a tree image, then it was scanned in and the creepy children, ravishing Madame and the good sir raven strolled/flew in. (via Itkulpilli's site) I have printed a copy of this and have it above my desk I love the layering and the stories that seem to come out of this - who are they? what are they? do they come alive at night and hide things or am I just messy?

I am also entering this into this week's Inspiration Avenue -texture challenge as I love the sharpe digital images against the texture of the gessoed book page.

Always a fan of the use of printed text on a project. This is gorgeously haunting. Has an Ed Gorey feel to it. LOVE it!

Fantastic! So many stories could go along with this piece. Mostly revolving around: who are they, and what are they doing?? Many possibilities...

What I especially like about this week's challenge entry (I'm here from Inspiration Avenue), is the graphic nature of this piece. I love black and white, and this is gorgeous.

I love the mystery around this work of art. I'm sure we all have little gremlins who come in the night and make a mess of our craft benches, because I am sure it ain't me! Thank you for leaving me such a nice comment EE. Michelle xx

Visiting from IA...it is so much fun to visit everyone and see how they interpret the challenge. Your haunted design is just awesome and evokes a kind of eerie feeling. I love the sepia (oldness?) of the book page with the black trees.
