inspriation avenue - Tropical

Dearest Minions,

When I think tropical I think humid forrests and bright coloured, clear seas. I also think of yellow eyes peeping out amoungst the ferns, watching and waiting....

smiles are the souls kisses

Dearest Minions,

While it sounds zen it also sounds a bit like twaddle and then you see a smile and think ... maybe happyzen twaddle...

the card has:
an image of Maud Fealy which could be from vintage catnip but I am not sure but it from one of the wonderful vintage image sites.
some lace -stuck on with that super sticky red tape which is excellent
a grommet - no Wallace sorry
papers that my neighbour gave me, the darker of which has musical notes stamped on it from the pink paisley french collection
sentiment from scrap booking paper.

Thank you for looking, hope you have a suitably smug day.

weenie canvas -wings

Dearest Minions,

Unlike this week's Doctor Who I hope that this lives up to it's promise. Why can't we have a flesh eating Mermaid from space, but NOOOO we get a singing nurse. pah. Maybe it is a let down after the unusual day I had today when I had to dislodge a live mouse from a Dyson Hoover. Yes it ran away to create more havoc in appliances.

experiment 2

Dearest Minions,

While I did try to cross a puzzle with a Kracken, the soggy tentacles did not work. So here is my second experiment, the puzzle is painted with gesso. Then run through my cuttlebug with a cogs embossing die. Then inks, paints and shimmer mists were applied, then embossing powder was sprinkled over one bit that would not dry.

I then added a piece of old earing (or possibly weapon) to the side with a brad.

Feminine puzzle

Dearest Minions,

I recently bought a puzzle and painted it with gesso and then began strange experiments on it here is one of the results. The wonderful image is from scroll works stamps and is called ruffled feathers. It was coloured with a Coptic marker and water colour pencils.
