Dearest Minions,
As someone interested in world domination and Monsters, it was only natural that I went to see the National Theater's screening of Frankenstein. Let me start by saying the play is wonderful; amazing performances by both of the leads and supporting cast. The lighting effects are stunning and the prose is thought provoking and lyrical.
This is a play that makes you question what you have seen. For me the monster and Victor Frankenstein are mirror images of the base pride that allows people to excuse their actions to them selves. Anyone within the play who shows kindness to the monster is killed by the monster, all the beautiful beseeching sentiments can not mask a killer. While Victor Frankenstein justifies his cruelty and abandonment of principles, compassion and respect by quoting his intelligence and superiority.
The two monsters become intangled within their own war, constantly driving forward to kill each other and therefore their own monster.
There is another showing of the play with the roles reversed on 24th March via cinemas. Highly recomended.

inspriation avenue - Furry

Dearest Minions,
This is the evil Dr Nebular before he began his campaign to terrorize all fauna of Bury St Edmunds. As you can see he was in stealth mode even then.
This is my entry to this week's Inspiration Avenue challenge which is furry, got to admit when I saw the title I sniggered as I thought of Furries but I blame that firmly on an episode of CSI Vegas when poor little Linda Lamb was a victim...

friends
Dearest Minions,
These cards were inspired by my friends, every one of whom has a brillance and bitch combined in equal measure and without whom, my life would be a great deal poorer and duller. Images from Lisa's Altered Images and papers are basic grey capella.
Thank you, each and everyone of you and that goes to everyone reading this too.
ciao bitches

Dedication to pinkbuds

Dearest Minions,
The above cards, which are a departure from my normal style, are inspired by Pinkbuds blog. Not only did she showcase the beautiful image available from crafts and me. But her whole blog is beautifully compiled and really inspiring, she mixes wonderful cards with the human touch.
OK now I sound like a fan boy stalker, but is there someone that inspires you to work on something out side you usual style? Give them a shout out. Spread the love blah blah. Talking of spreading the love, my tree where I hang bird food had an unusual visitor today, a Kestrel decided that it was a kind of drive through. It missed through.

Paper blending and blackmail
I always prefer to make sure that cards have multiple meanings, this could be joke or it could be blackmail..... this was made for a good friend of mine, who is the same age as me and I have photos to prove it and everything!
This card was made using the the paper blending technique illustrated in this month's Craft Stamper magazine. (so much fun, so much mess) The stamp is Tim Holtz.

Save our Trees
The British Government plans to sell off our Forrest's, please write to your MP and sign this petition to show that you are against this. Let us not go backwards to a time when the forrests were off limits to all but the rich few. We need to preserve our woods for everyone; man or beast.EE

Gentlemen, please be up standing for Bury St Edmunds

Dearest Minions,
I saw this out and about in Bury and decided in the Best carry on tradition that I had to share it. Hope it makes you snigger.
Best Wishes
