Springtime

Greetings,

This is my entry to the current TIOT challenge which is Springtime. I painted an old wooden cutting board with a layer of gesso. I then painted thin watered down layers of paper artsy fressco paints.
the cuts and groves gentley show through the paint. I then stamped tim holtz papilion words in brown and the wonderful life stamp in grey. I wiped the surfaces so these smudged and faded. I then stamped my main image paperbag studios in brown staz on. I then painted this with watered down paints.

of course I am the Queen!

working in the lab last night, I got a bit literal with cat fish......then
I transplanted the ego from a Kardasian the result is Queen Cat Fish. Just don't mention her bum.

The Queen demands entry to

Macabre Monday - working in the lab late one night
less is more- makes me smile.

The stamp is from pinkflamingo61 , not sure where the sentiment came from and the background was created by drawing paper through diluted sprays and adding perfect pearls for the shimmer.

naughty and nice

Good morning and Happy Easter,

This is my first design for my Christmas cards. I used the Betty Gable stamp from Deep Red and teamed it with a Christmas stamp, added a splash of colour. These cards really make me smile - not just from devious smugness at getting my first Christmas card done at Easter; but I love the flirty 50s ness of the card.

Here is another one with just the hair coloured.
I am entering this into the following:

less is more - makes me smile
thats crafty - add a splash of colour to monochrome
my sheri crafts - a moment of laughter - humour

underwater folding

Greetings,

The current challange at Try it on Tuesday is more than one fold. I did a gatefold card a decorated it with designs by Ryn stamps.

I had a bit of a problem when I didn't stamp the baby seahorse properly so I over stamped kelp over it so it looked like he is emerging from the leaves which I really like.

The project is inspired by the below photo.

http://oohmyfavorite.com/2013/06/05/underwater-photography-contest/
This amazing image is by the amzingly talented:
Kyle McBurnie, California Harbor seal in a kelp forest at Cortes bank, near San Diego, CA.
I used the following distress inks to try and convay the beautiful shades of blue: faded jeans, tumbled glass, peacock feathers and of course salty ocean. I listened to Florence and the machine's never let me go which really went with the theme. I look foward to seeing your creations.
Please remeber we have a DT call on at the mo, come and join the team.

I am also entering this into the following challenges
make my monday - mythical creatures- 2 mermaids
vintage stamp challenges - anything goes

if you don't suceed- shout at it

Greetings,

These cards are from a set that I made using the graffeti heart stamp. I had such a bad time trying to get this stamp to print. But after a trying 6 different types of ink and shouting at the stamp I managed to get these which I am really pleased with.

cat in a circle

Dearest Minions,

this is my entry to the following challenges:
less is more - colour - add turquoise
all sorts challenge - no flowers
crafty place - you spin me right round

The image is made using my favourite Klimt cat stamp and blending peacock feathers and tumbled glass distress inks together. The cat's tail went wrong, so I die cut black card & stuck it over the offending bit!  oh and as usual I got an inky finger print in the corner.

We are having a design team call for Try it on Tuesday- if you fancy it please contact us.

I also wanted to show you the next super villian, just known as orange....
