burning in straight lines

evening all,

So here is my entry to the June Smerged and smudged Rock and Rolla challenge which was Wolf Mother by Fist Aid kit. I printed the lyrics on to card then embossed with a fern stamp. I then shaded with distess inks, flicked water on it, re-shaded. I then set fire to the piece, however it burned in straight lines and right angles, not the tattered edges that I hoped and expected. so tada and all that.

Today I was bitten by a horse fly, stung by a bee and then stung on my ankle, leg, wrist and hand by stinging nettles, I am going back to work tomorrow......it's safer.

Angels and Demons

Dearest Minions,
The new challege at TIOT is Angels and Demons and we are really proud to be sponsored by Dilly Beans this month.

I have used the images Sugar skull Frida, day of the dead Frida and Penny's Heart. On the Frida card I was able to use digis from one of my favourite shops and one of my favourite earth bound shops - Rejuvinate in Cambridge (wings.)

Look forward to seeing your entries - tootles

Skull appreciation day

Greetings! and welcome to the skull Appreciation day blog hop. The details of my fellow hoppies are below, please do have a look at their blogs and their most splendid of offerings!
I found an old clock and stamped on the glass front using stazon black, the stamps are a freebie from craft stamper mag and Rock Star by Inkandinkado. The clock hands glow in the dark which works really spookly with the skull stamp. So on to the next one!

For the chaps in your life..TIOT

Greetings,

The new challenge at Try IT On Tuesday is for the men in your life. We are being sponsored this month by the amazing Dilly Beans, now I am so much of a fan it is almost stalking with Dilly Beans... but the lawyer said I should not talk about it further. The amazing range of digi images fit every occasion. Drool, they are so cool! (see rhyming fandom.)

I had so many ideas for this challenge some of which did not work out. In the end I went for a really simple image - "me and my pops" with a sentiment that can be used for a lot of occasions, I kept the colours in the more typically masculine range but it would look just as good in pastels.. hmm next card I make could well be a pastel version. The image is coloured scruffily in water colour pencils, I mixed the faces with water as I liked the lime green colour it produced.

behind the green door!

Greetings

The less is more challenge this week is to use the colour of your front door. My front door to my lair is green.
As you can see it is a very lairish door - ok not my front door, but I wish it was and also I have seen the latest Iron man film and am not giving out the address of my SECRET lair.

I love the expression on the baby Medussa she is from make it crafty.
