Down on the beach

Dearest Minions,

This is my entry to this week's Tuesday Taggers challenge Down on the beach sponsored by one stop craft store. My entry is wistful thinking, the image is Black Pearl from Delicious doodles. I started with the tag but she looked far too exotic and warm to be in the North Sea. So I made a grey North Sea sister for her, who could well be found near a Suffolk beach.

The images are coloured with flexi markers and copics markers. However I still found the colours too bright for grey pearl so I sponged weathered wood distress ink over the image, which worked well and married into the background of the card which is made with a Tim Holtz mask, distress inks and a my mind's eye script stamp. The eyes have been highlighted by glaze to make them stand out and look liquidy.

look forward to your entry.

also entering this into:
pan pastals -anything goes
Smudger challenge -tag you're it - warm pearl

ReD

This is my entry to the delightful ink on my fingers Sunday stampers challenge which is red. I think that this is a touch military. The red bird and black back ground are embossed with a cogs embossing folder.

chav frame

Dearest Minions,

Is the frame on the left hand side not one of the most horrendous vomit inducing travesties of home decor? this is a before and after shot of a photo frame I transformed this weekend. This took a lot of coats of gesso, senca colour wash, hard rock candy crackle glaze and vintage photo frame distress inks.

The frame was purchased from the pound shop, yet again I fought my way through chavs and really hoped that my bag didn't split and the frames ( I bought two) didn't grown legs and scurry across the floor.

The stamps used are Tim Holtz Papillion and Indigo Blu Grand Tour 2.
