experiment 2

Dearest Minions,

While I did try to cross a puzzle with a Kracken, the soggy tentacles did not work. So here is my second experiment, the puzzle is painted with gesso. Then run through my cuttlebug with a cogs embossing die. Then inks, paints and shimmer mists were applied, then embossing powder was sprinkled over one bit that would not dry.

I then added a piece of old earing (or possibly weapon) to the side with a brad.

Feminine puzzle

Dearest Minions,

I recently bought a puzzle and painted it with gesso and then began strange experiments on it here is one of the results. The wonderful image is from scroll works stamps and is called ruffled feathers. It was coloured with a Coptic marker and water colour pencils.

Magnolia Magnificence

Dearest Minions,

Sometimes you come across something wonderful. Here are the beautiful magnolia trees that are in bloom in Ickworth House Gardens at the moment. If you can not get to Ickworth, here are some pictures so you can enjoy them too.

Cor Lovely Pear

Dearest Minions,

Can you not just hear Sid James' chuckle? I admit I bought the stamp not just because it is rather nice but also for the puns.

card is stamped with a prima text stamp, then a basic grey paper with has been torn and stitched is mounted (there's the laugh again) on top and finally the jigsaw with said pear on is stuck on. I used the super sticky tape to do this as I was concerned about dettachment.

All the best

experiment

Dearest Minions,

I feel that this is more successful than the octopig or the cowrilla. I used a text stamp over an old calender photo of tree rings in black staz on and I think that it is rather good.
