Whimsey

Greetings,

This card is made for the Less is more challenge which this week is mostly words.

This features an old banner stamp from the wild aspragus collection by my mind's eye, my beloved peg stamps on a scrap of a back ground made with paper artsy paints. I love it, so simple and a touch silly.

ghost bride

Greetings,

I recentley got this ghost bride image from Aurora Wings and have been playing with her ever since.
so here she is in a some glamour shots..

In card form this is her debut .... glamorous decay

The card background is created with paper artsy bricks stamped in pumice stone and then over stamped with a crackle background in weathered wood ink. I very lightly shaded her skin and some of the flowers with water colour pencils, I then used a water pen to blend the colours. I hope the arch against the stone work gives a church feel.

I am entering the card for  the following challenges:

left of  center - fairytales- the tale of the Ghost bride

Aurora Wings - a touch of darkness

a step in the dark - anything goes

Artfultimes challenges - arches

I also wanted to include these images which influenced the above images

these phots were taken at Rockingham Castle which is wonderful.

I have heard mermaids singing....

Greetings,

When I was younger I loved maps with mermaids and kracken populating the sea, who am I kidding I still love them. Sailors cope with so much and then the idea of singing fish women dragging them to their deaths must have tipped them over the edge (of the row boat.)

The wonderful image is from Aurora Wings is it not AWESOME!?

These are swimming into the following challenges;
punk you girl - what creeps under the sea
Macrebe Monday - Ancient Evil
Aurora Wings challenges - a touch of darkness

angels

Greetings,

This is my entry to the That's Crafty challenge which is Girl Power. I have used a section of an Clarabelle Studios stamp and my new favorite die which is a frame.

To make the frame I swipped distress inks on a piece of card then die cut. The main iamge is mounted on foam pads to make it stand above the frame.

I am also fluttering to the following challanges:

Vandicrafts Artistry challange - anything goes
artbymiran challenge - anything goes
Wags and whiskers - one for the girls.
