freebie challenge - may

Greetings,

This is my entry to this month's freebie challenge over a smeared and smudged this is Antia from the Chicks dig guns set at smeared ink. The image is so striking that I just coloured her with pro & flexi markers. I had all these ideas for blood splatter in the foreground, but the image is just too fabulous on it's own.

CLEANING?!

Greetings!

This card is for all of us who know that there are so many things more interesting than cleaning bathrooms....
This card is made with a freebie from create with TLC, she was coloured with water colour pencils and the sentiment was stamped on to Raspberry road papers with archival ink and backed with plain black card. The sentiment is from Dylusions and sob... means so much to me and all of us who would rather be crafting with cocktails than scrubbing the toilet!

I am letting her waltz forward to the following:
Inspiration Avenue - retro 1950/60s
CAS-ual Fridays - stamp on designer paper
Through the craft room door -anything goes

here come the girls.......

on the wild side

Dearest minions,

This is my Design Team piece for the latest try it on Tuesday challenge which is a walk on the wild side. I fell in lust with this stamp when I saw it on Lisa Sparkles website and then I saw it on ebay.  Never realised how bit it was. I have used it to decorate it a card and a matching box. The back ground was made with distress inks that were flicked with water. The text stamp is a Chapel Art stamp of a Christina Rosetti quote.

are you looking at my legs?

Hope to see your entry,

masking digis using spray ink

 SUCKING AT EGGIES PART 1
print out the digi and the cut out a mask from copier paper
place the mask over the digi and secure, I put a stone on the top and spray away. Add masks but be really careful with spraying water as this can make the inks run (see the dots on the eye of the purple grumpie.

have a white cat come far too near the spray
once dry the digis are ready to colour

Dylusions stamps were then added

I used digis - Dilly beans - heart monster and smeared ink lil grumpies - stumpie.
The rubber stamps were dylusions.
the inks sprays were the wonderful Dylusions sprays and the mask was a craft mask which I reversed as if gave that off balance madness to the proceedings.
I am entering this to the following challenges:
Dilly beans -anything dilly goes
cards in envy - make your own background
Eclectic Ellapu - anything goes

wave ravaged shore

Greetings,

This is my entry to Quoth the raven challenge which is anything poe goes. The ATC is based on the poe line "Wave ravaged shore". The main image is a photo that I took then  converted using photoshop elements, I then added the skull and raven from Itkupili, for that authentic poe look.

bags and boxes

I have been playing a round with paperartsy crackle glaze, bags and boxes. The jigsaw pieces were stamped with a Kaisercraft stamp, the first tag is with a visiual image stamp and finally the whimsey stamp is a mind eye stamp which I have corrupted!

Try it on Tuesday challenge

Dearest Minions,

Greetings and salutations, this is my DT piece for the latest TIOT challenge which is feminine and fancy. This was a difficult one for me as I had real issues with the stamp I was trying to use which would not work. So frustrating, I ended up using distress ink and spraying it with water, I really like the effect it caused. I later found that Staz-on works really well on these stamps but that was AFTER I made the card.

The flowers have tiny cogs and wheels from watch parts glued in their centre, using glossy accents to fix them. The background of the card is stamped with roses with a water misted stamp and distress inks then I stamped over a Tim Holtz script stamp in a style that I hope looks like letter paragraphs. There is also a tiny bit of lace on the bottom of the image. I am also entering this to:

Dilly Beans: for Mom
Simon Says stamp: Happy mail
Fashionable stamping challenges - anything goes

Please do enter the challenge, I love seeing the inventive designs that crafters come up with.

Lemur feeding

Dearest minions,

Here is my entry to this weeks less is more challenge, I'm getting it in a bit late, I am also entering it into:

A little bit crafty - use kraft
the Artistic stamper May challenge - Words
Fahionable stamping challenges - sentimental

but I also wanted to write about a excellent experience I had recently. I fed Lemurs! it was excellent. Linton Zoo has a programme where for £10 per person you can go into the Lemur enclosure and you can feed them by hand.

a black grape for ME?!

I was able to stoke one, the fur was so thick and soft. I can not recommend it enough. If you are in the area, Linton Zoo is well worth looking into.

There is also a very good educational talk about Lemurs, all the profits go to a Lemur programme. (They do also have other animals at the zoo.)
massive and happy, he's a love machine and the tiny results are in the hot house

nom nom nom

you can stroke my feathers but NO Dr WHOOO jokes
