friends and roses

Dearest minions,

here is another friends card I really like this stamp (paper bag studio) it reminds me to those hot bleached out photos of the  1960s & 1970s I have coloured the image with provo & flexi markers then added  my minds eye botanical paper with roses behind it.

I would like to put on a Elvis type mumble and say this is dedicated to all my friends out there.

DT Try it on Tuesdays

Dearest Minions,

This is my new piece for Try it on Tuesdays, our latest challenge is "get ready to celebrate" the piece must have a heart on it ready for the commericalism that is Valentines day on Feb 14th.

The background is a bit of cardboard that I sprayed with inks and then embossed. I hightled the swirls with distress ink but it just soaked in so I employed my trusty staz-on for the job. The large heart is again cardboard that I sprayed, stamped and heat embossed and the smaller heart is a rusty tin heart from Calio craft. The word rejoice is stamped from a my mind's eye set.

I am also entering this into the fasionable stamping challenges.

I wanted to make it into a wee gift so I added a fridge magnet which I stuck on to the tin heart.

Greetings,

here is my entry to this week's less is more challenge which is a sketch. The card is for a friend of mine who I have known since we were about 5 or 6 I have also bought him the Justin Bieber 2013 Album......... I think he will like the card better.

I am also entering this into the all sorts challenge which is masculine.

The stamps are Lynn Perrelli -the fossil, paper artsy -the ruler and peg stamps - the word, the ink is distress fired brick.

art journal -tiot sewing

This is my entry for this week's TIOT challenge which runs for the next two weeks and is lets get stitchy (real or faux) .I normally love sewing but this was a pig and the sewing is fastening the stamped material directly to the fabric paper, as you can see, no neat stitches.. sigh. Our wonderful sponsor this month is Crafty Embelies who have wonderful unusual craft pieces and some blindingly good offers.

Here are some close ups of the page. the stamped images are from de stampenwinkel - Goddess type person, indigo blue- moth Lynne Perrelli - sad tudor type stamped on a map. The main piece is a card stamped with Tim Holtz script, inked and sprayed with gold spray. the wings are german scrap and the label is from matalan.

Dearest Minions,

I was on Sam's Blog in the very late 2012, she had a great post with a link to a free download by Dina Wakley. I had a try with my old cosmic shimmer inks, but sadly most of these no long work so I ended up splatting the ink everywhere instead. The cat shapes were downloaded from the Internet, if you are doing this I would really recommend sticking the shapes to card first, but I'm too impatient!

Here is what I made:

on the window sill in my bathroom -stinking

painted on back of Xmas card - when sealer was wet the Christmas tree showed up on the cat

just love these stamps

I made the massive mistake of trying to seal them in a room with the window open, I now have all the upstairs windows open in the vain hope that this will stop my house stinking before bedtime...

Smug dreams - tiot

Dearest Minions

Good Evening and Happy New Year. Did you have a good one? We stayed in with Chinese , harry Potter and Pear Vodka...mmmm lush. Although FFS fireworks, I understand going off at midnight but why 12.40???!

This is my entry for the current challenge at Try It On Tuesday which is try something new. So using my new line up stampotique stamp, modge podge and magnetic backing I made this fridge magnet.
