Dearest Minions,

For the last challenge of the year the stampotique challenge blog are having out with old in with the new. So here is my brand new smug cat from line up which I got for Christmas and a tim holtz crown, back ground sun rays and my beloved peg stamps. The heart is cut from a glittery birthday card for added bling. I have done several cards with weenie smug.

Below is a CAS card, which is coloured with provo markers, the shadow is from a fleximarker.

I would like to everyone a peaceful, happy Holiday.... with lots of inky fingers!

Dearest Minions,

This is my entry to the latest Try it on Tuesday challenge which is a lucky dip of die cut, pearls, ribbon, stamped image and sentiment I chose: ribbon, sentiment, die cut and stamped image. The tag was die cut out of packaging that has been sprayed and embossed. The sentiment and stamped image where then added. The stamped image is a mask that I have used and I love the effect on it.

TIOT - lets get inky

Dearest minions,

Good morning, this is my entry for the TIOT challenge which is lets get inky. the image, Emo at Christmas is from the fantastic Delicoius Doodles - who are sponsoring us hurrah! and the sentiment is from ginger's house.

I printed the image on acetate then coloured the back with alchol inks. I then rubbed off the inks on the face. this was then stuck over a print of image which had been coloured with provo markers and fleximarkers and stuck in a die cut card to hold it in place. The surround was stamped with a craft stamper freebie stamp using distress inks.

I really did get covered in ink with this one.

Come and join us I can't wait to see your pieces/ink stained fingers!

Christmas Sparkle DT

Greetings,

This is my main card for Christmas, the stamp is from Lost Coast designs via happy daze and the quote is from George Carlin. The card does have a small twinkly heart, but I think that the dancers are called reindeer names like Trixie, Sparkle and JoJo,  hence my non traditional Christmas Sparkle card for the current Try It On Tuesday Challenge.

Who needs snow when you have three wild, ginger beer drinking, glam dames?

I look forward to seeing your entries.

tentacles -ATC

Good day,

This is my entry to this fortnight's Octopode Factory Challenge which is circles. I have used Willow from Octopde Factory as my main image, the cheeky tentacles belong to Smudgetastic digis. I coloured the back ground with pan pastels, then stamped Tim Holtz circles over the top, then went back with a light dusting of pan pastels to bring out the circles. Willow and the tentacles were coloured with water colour pencils - I then played with my sakura pen again. The red is from my new distress ink marker which ran a bit when I sprayed the image with cheap hair spray to set the pastels - one could say that it was upset, distressed  almost...

Blackbird - smudge fest

Evening,

It is day 6 of Smudgefest and today's challenge is an ATC based on the below Beatles song. I chose the line "take these sunken eyes and learn to see." The main image is from smeared ink, he looks so sad I thought it fitted. I masked the central image and then used distress inks on the background and a Tim Holtz stamp. I then sprayed a mister to give a stipple effect. Sad teddy coloured with flexi markers.

Blackbird - Beatles
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to be free
Blackbird fly, blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night
Blackbird fly, blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

you know how when you should be doing something you do something else? well here is the first ATC. Main image lil grumpies bottoms up.
