Save our Trees

The British Government plans to sell off our Forrest's, please write to your MP and sign this petition to show that you are against this. Let us not go backwards to a time when the forrests were off limits to all but the rich few. We need to preserve our woods for everyone; man or beast.

inspriation avenue - favorite month

Dearest Minions,

Inspiration Avenue have asked what is your favorite month. Mine is July, it has a lot of birthday's in it so I get to spoil a lot of good people, we get some sunny weather and everything is growing. July is a month that I look forward to, especially on damp miserable days like today.

This picture was taken a couple of years ago in the Great Churchyard in Bury St Edmunds, I often walk through the Churchyard, which is wonderful peaceful area in the centre of Town. One part of it is allowed to go wild while other areas are careful groomed (we have people in Bury who write into the local paper to say that grass should be 3 inches long....if only they would join amnesty international and do some real good. Although providing exasperated amusement is good for me.) I love the swaying cow parsley in the wild area, which becomes a white shadow in the dusk. I once saw a Kestrel  bring down a fat pigeon through these trees.

Very occasionally I become a teenager and get all excited about music again, this is wonderful. Clare Maguire "ain't nobody" unlike most videos which are all outfits and dubious jiggling up and down this song and video are perfect for one another. Fingers crossed for 2011 less Hannah Montana and more Clare Maguire.

Practical crafting

Dearest Minions,

Here is a device to settle discussions about whether the plates should go in the dishwasher or be piled at the side. The device uses the new heraldry die cuts from spellbinders and an old chipboard heart that I had knocking around. The sword can be turned to state whether the dishwasher needs to be loaded or unloaded.

New art Journal pages

Dearest Minions,

I wish you joy and discovery for this New Year, be happy and healthy. Here are two new pages for my brand spanking new journal. Bird song and Angel. For some reason the Journal seems to be having a theme of flight and wings. I am not sure why, as I only like birds from a distance. I was once chased by a mutant cockerel (it had been on growth hormone so it was like some kind of huge, body building aggression monster, think Florida drugged up body builder in a chicken.)
